Own website

Use this path when the store is not on the Shopify app or the WooCommerce plugins. You will place a link, an iframe, or a script yourself.

If you only want one result, open that recipe and return here for the account step:

Need Recipe
Shoppers see shoes on their feet See a shoe on the foot
Shoppers get a shoe size Recommend a shoe size
Shoppers see a bag See a bag on the body
Shoppers see clothing See a garment

Shoe try-on and shoe size are both possible on your own site. They are two embeds, not one setting.

1. Create a Dashboard account

Sign in at dash.wearfits.com with a magic link sent to your business email. Who can skip this: Shopify merchants (they are on a different page), and a shoe-size widget that only needs a registered clientId.

2. Create an API key

In the Dashboard, create an API key and store it on your server. Send it as X-API-Key on API calls. The full secret is shown only once.

Do not put the key in storefront JavaScript. The shoe-size snippet does not use it. See Account, keys, and plans and the Dashboard user guide.

3. Make the product digital

  • Shoes from photos — Make the assets, the sandbox at tryon.wearfits.com/shoes, or POST /api/v1/shoe-3d.
  • Shoes or bags you already have as GLB / GLTF — upload them at dev.wearfits.com. Bags cannot be created from photos.
  • Clothing — point the clothing app at garment images. There is no 3D file.

4. Put it on the product page

Outcome What you place Guide
Shoe or bag AR A link or an iframe to dev.wearfits.com/tryon AR SDK
Clothing An iframe or the JavaScript modal for tryon.wearfits.com Clothing SDK
Shoe size The size SDK, after WEARFITS registers your origins Recommend a shoe size
Clothing size A body chart on the embedded product, or POST /api/v1/size-fitting Recommend a clothing size

A common shoe path is: photos, then 2D to 3D, then the AR viewer. Add the size SDK only when you also want a recommendation.

This path does not include

  • The Shopify or WooCommerce install wizards. Use those checklists if that is your platform.
  • An on-shoe fit heatmap. Size on your own site is the advisory modal described in the shoe-size recipe.
