Foot Size Measurement — User Guide
This guide is for the shopper flow at size.wearfits.com. Stores embedding the button start at Recommend a shoe size, then the SDK guide.
The scan result is a size and width reading. An on-shoe fit picture is not part of this flow.
Size-fitting demo
The public size-fitting demo is an interactive example rather than a live scan. It uses a static sample person and simulated fit indicators; use the size controls to see how different sizes affect the displayed fit. The demo does not capture photos, generate a profile, or make generation or API requests.
Devices
| Platform | How scanning works |
|---|---|
| Android | Chrome, WebXR camera scan |
| iOS | Native App Clip (primary). Safari shows an App Clip card; the shopper taps Open. |
| iOS fallback | In-page web scan if the App Clip is not used |
Use a current Chrome on Android, or Safari on iOS. In-app browsers and private tabs may hide the App Clip card.
Scan
- Open size.wearfits.com, or follow a try-on link that sends the shopper here.
- Allow camera access when the browser asks.
- Follow the on-screen coverage guide until both feet are captured.
- The app uploads the scan and opens the result page when processing finishes.
If the device already has a foot profile for this shopper, the app can skip the scan and go straight to results.
Result page
The result page shows a compact foot profile: size plus width/girth, with EU / UK / US and cm / inch labels. Quality cues (for example left/right consistency) may appear when the scan supports them.
Results stay on WEARFITS domains so a sibling try-on page can reuse them. Stores using the SDK receive only an advisory recommendation, not the raw profile.
Return to the shoe
A product page can send the shopper here with ?return_url= pointing at that shoe page (same-site, safe URLs only). After the scan, the result page offers a back to the shoe action.
Notes:
- The return link is navigation only. Measurements are not placed in the URL.
- If the shopper already has a profile, they can return without scanning again.
Languages
The scan UI defaults to English and includes Polish, French, and Spanish.
