2D to 3D Generator — User Guide

Create a 3D shoe model and a try-on link from product photos. Shoes only. The decision page is Make the assets. Bags and backpacks still need a 3D file in the AR try-on library.

What you need

  • A Dashboard account and API key from dash.wearfits.com
  • Clear product photos (several angles work best), as public HTTPS URLs or uploads in the sandbox

Sandbox

Open tryon.wearfits.com/shoes, sign in with your key when prompted, upload photos, and preview the result.

This is the fastest way to see a model before you wire the API into a catalog.

API path

  1. POST /api/v1/shoe-3d at api.wearfits.com with X-API-Key and an images array.
  2. The API accepts the job immediately (202 + jobId).
  3. Poll GET /api/v1/jobs/{jobId} until the job completes.
  4. Use the returned GLB and try-on link.

Full request fields: API reference. Interactive explorer: api.wearfits.com/reference.

Shopify and WooCommerce merchants usually never call this by hand — the Shopify app and WooCommerce shoes plugin submit photos for them.

Uploaded model ownership

When uploadToWearFits: true, the generated model is published to a WEARFITS library. Ownership is determined by one of these options:

  1. Attributed account (default): If the credential is associated with a WEARFITS account, the model is filed in that account's library. You do not need to send an additional ownership field.
  2. Explicit user session: If your frontend already has a WEARFITS user session, send it as options.sessionId to link the model to that session.

options.sessionId takes precedence. When you provide it, it is the only ownership claim used; the account associated with the credential is not used for that upload. The two ownership methods are mutually exclusive.

If you provide neither, the model is placed in the integration's default shared WEARFITS library.

Output

Output Use
3D model (GLB) Download or keep in your pipeline
Try-on / viewer URL AR experience on dev.wearfits.com/tryon

WEARFITS currently enforces a 20 MB maximum GLB upload size. Keep generated or existing models you upload or republish at or below 20 MB.

Optional uploadToWearFits on the API request publishes the model to the selected WEARFITS library after generation.
